Fynd is currently an independent student software project. It is not operated by a registered company.
You must be at least 17 years old to use Fynd. Fynd is built around user-generated content and helping students meet in person, which is not suitable for younger users. You must provide accurate information and may hold only one account.
Access to campus features requires verifying that you are enrolled at a school. Verification is performed by a third-party provider.
Verification confirms enrolment only. It is not a background check, a criminal records check, or an identity guarantee. A verified badge tells you someone is a student. It tells you nothing about their character or intentions.
Events, posts, replies and secrets in campus communities are created by other users. Fynd does not organise, host, endorse, supervise or vouch for them.
Fynd helps students discover places and events, which means it may lead to meeting people in person. You do this entirely at your own risk. We strongly recommend that you:
Fynd is not responsible for the conduct of any user, online or offline. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services - do not rely on the app.
You agree not to post or do any of the following:
Content is screened automatically before it appears and can be reported by any user. Automated moderation is imperfect in both directions: it will sometimes allow things it should not, and occasionally block things it should not.
Content you create remains yours. By posting it, you grant Fynd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display and distribute it within the app for the purpose of operating the service. This licence ends when the content is removed, except as described in section 8.
You confirm you have the right to post what you upload, including any photographs.
You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Account & Settings → Delete Account.
Deleting your account removes your profile and personal information, but posts, events, replies and secrets you shared with a campus community are retained with your name removed. This keeps conversations that other students participated in intact. If you want that content gone, delete it yourself before deleting your account - you can delete anything you created.
Place data comes from third-party providers. Opening hours, prices, availability, contact details and locations may be inaccurate or out of date. Some images are stock photography rather than photographs of the venue, and are labelled as such in the app. Distances and travel times are estimates. Directions are handled by your device's maps application, not by Fynd. Always verify details before you travel.
Some descriptions in Fynd are generated by AI and may be inaccurate. Recommendations are generated automatically and are not professional, medical, legal, financial or safety advice. Use your own judgment.
Fynd may run promotions, challenges or giveaways. Where it does, additional rules will be presented at the time. Prizes have no cash value unless expressly stated, we may disqualify entries we reasonably believe involve fraud or abuse, and promotions are void where prohibited by law.
Fynd is currently free. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase, and no payment method is collected. If paid features are introduced in future, the terms will be updated and you will be told before any charge.
Fynd relies on third-party services for place data, sign-in, maps, verification, hosting and notifications. Their availability and accuracy are outside our control, and your use of them may be governed by their own terms. The full list is in our Privacy Policy.
The Fynd name, logo, design and software are owned by the operator of Fynd. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer or redistribute them without permission.
Fynd is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any information in it is accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fynd and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service - including any interaction or meeting with another user.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100). Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Fynd and its operator from any claim or demand arising out of your content, your use of the service, or your breach of these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
If you obtained Fynd from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these terms are between you and the operator of Fynd, not Apple; that Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support; that Apple is not responsible for any product warranties or claims relating to the app; and that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
We may update these terms as the app changes. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continuing to use Fynd after a change means you accept it.
